Cash flow finance
Cash flow tight?
Wages, suppliers and BAS don't wait for clients to pay. A working capital loan, line of credit or overdraft can smooth out the gaps – apply once and see what may be available.
For businesses with an ABN, for business purposes only. Finance for personal, household or domestic purposes isn't offered through Circlestone.
Ways to smooth out cash flow
- Working capital loan – a lump sum repaid over a short term
- Line of credit – draw what you need, up to a limit, and pay interest on what you use
- Business overdraft – a buffer on your business account
- Invoice or debtor finance – getting paid early on unpaid invoices. For trades waiting on builders, see Cash flow for trades
Good to know
Short-term cash flow finance can cost more than a longer-term loan. Compare the total cost, not just the repayment, and check fees for early repayment or unused limits.
Not a standard case? New ABN, patchy trading history, an ATO arrangement, lumpy income or been knocked back elsewhere? Before you apply, send us an email. A real person reads it, and we'll look at your situation and point you to the right partner or option. No promises, but we'll try to find a path.
What you'll be asked
Lenders match on a handful of facts about the business. Having these ready makes the application quicker:
- How much you need and what it's for (the business purpose)
- Your ABN and how long it's been active
- Whether you're registered for GST
- Roughly what the business turns over each year
- For equipment or vehicles: what it is, new or used, dealer or private sale, and the price
- When you need the money
- Your credit history, and the directors' or owners' details and ID
- Business bank statements – often linked digitally rather than uploaded
The exact questions come from the LoanOptions.ai application and may differ.
Straight up: Circlestone is a referrer. We don't provide credit assistance or credit advice, and we don't assess whether a loan suits you – LoanOptions.ai and its lenders do that under their own licences, subject to their own criteria, fees and terms. We may receive a referral fee from LoanOptions.ai if your finance settles. Any fees are set by LoanOptions.ai or the lender and shown to you before you sign. See How we get paid.
Common questions
What's the difference between a line of credit and an overdraft?
Both let you draw money as you need it up to a limit. An overdraft is usually attached to your business transaction account; a line of credit is often a separate facility. Fees and how interest is charged vary by lender.
How fast can cash flow finance be arranged?
Some online lenders can decide quickly once statements and ID are verified; banks usually take longer. Having your bank statements and ID ready is the biggest time-saver.
Do you offer invoice finance?
Yes. LoanOptions.ai has told us it can help with invoice finance, and trades invoicing builders can also look at our Cash flow for trades page. A line of credit or working capital loan may also be worth a look.
